The Art of Story is a community gathering where true stories, spoken word, and poetry become pathways of connection, compassion, and personal transformation. Each evening centers on a unique theme that helps us explore how our lived experiences shape the way we see ourselves, move through the world, and form relationships. They hold the threads of our belonging.
Join us as we return to one of humanity’s oldest healing practices: sharing stories. In The Art of Story, listening becomes as transformative as telling, and speaking your truth becomes an act of courage and connection.
In a culture often marked by disconnection and polarization, storysharing softens defenses and opens pathways of understanding across experiences that may feel worlds apart. Story-sharing and receiving holds the capacity to bridge divides, grow empathy, and remind us that we belong to one another. Stories remind us that our healing is intrinsically interwoven—and that we are becoming something more, together. The Art of Story is more than an event—it’s a communal practice of becoming.
You’re invited to write and share a 5-minute story (or a poem/spoken piece of similar length) that feels meaningful, accessible, and community-friendly. Bring a story from your life, a moment that shaped you, or a truth you’re still learning to live. While our practice holds space for intimate and tender narratives—including stories of deep pain—this gathering invites pieces that fit a communal, shared setting and honor what the group can hold together. And we know stories evoke and provoke; please discern if this is the right event or the right season for sharing your story in an intimate community space.
Whether you are attending with the intention to share or simply listen, your presence contributes to a space where courage, tenderness, and humanity meet. Come to remember that our stories—shared bravely and held gently—help grow us all.
Open to the public. All are welcome.
