Brave & Becoming: An Inner Child Series Launch in Collaboration with local author & illustrator, Megan Levaque

  • The Art of Becoming Collective 523 Remington St, Suite A Fort Collins United States (map)

In partnership with local children’s book author and illustrator Megan Levaque, The Art of Becoming invites you into a whimsical, courageous world—where bravery, perseverance, and the magic of community lead us back to the dreams we once held and the hope we still carry.

Together, we’ll explore how growing individually—and alongside others—can take us further than we ever imagined. Or maybe, as Megan’s young storytellers reveal, it’s the children who teach us how to return to wonder.

We’ll gather for a reading by Megan of her books,  When Dreams Collide & Dance to the Moon and reflect alongside her beautifully crafted characters (inspired by her own children!). As we face fears, walk tightropes between mountains, and imagine bold dreams, we’ll be reminded that courage grows best in the soil of a supportive community.

What to Expect:

  • A cozy gathering filled with story, wonder, and reflection

  • A live reading by Megan Levaque of When Dreams Collide & Dance to the Moon

  • Conversation around bravery, perseverance, and dreaming big

  • A creative space to reflect on your own story of courage with hands-on art activity inspired by the themes of the books

Megan Leveque is an author and illustrator with a heart for telling stories that celebrate children's quiet courage and wild imagination. Known for her whimsical watercolor artwork and dream-rich narratives, Megan brings to life characters who dare to believe in the impossible and chase what feels just out of reach.

Her debut picture book, Dance to the Moon, introduced readers to Olivia and Milo—two brave dreamers whose journey didn’t end with the final page. In her newest release, When Dreams Collide, their story continues with a new adventure and a deeper mission: to help someone else find the courage to dream big.

Based in Colorado, Megan draws inspiration from the everyday wonder she shares with her husband and two children. Whether exploring trails, chasing stars, or diving into the next story idea, she welcomes every adventure with open arms and an open sketchbook.
